To Seek Facts and Truth
To Be Noble and Ambitious
— Motto of UESTC
Yuxiang Zheng (郑宇翔) is a PhD candidate with Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Memorial University of Newfoundland, NL, Canada. He received his double B.Eng. degrees in Electronics and Electrical Engineering with Honours of the First Class from the University of Glasgow and the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China in 2021, and the M.Sc. degree with Distinction in Communications and Signal Processing from Imperial College London in 2022.
Yuxiang Zheng's research focuses on using reinforcement learning and quantum machine learning to push the boundaries of wireless communications, paving the way for 6G. In particular, he is currently working on vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) and vehicle-to-everything (V2X) networks, with a special emphasis on designing energy-efficient vehicular systems. By balancing sustainability and communications performance in these systems, his work contributes to both green and wireless communications—helping foster a healthier global environment and driving us closer to next-generation connectivity.

Teaching Assistant (TA) / Invigilator
Glasgow College, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China
Delivered academic and technical support for five courses: Microelectronics Systems, Dynamics and Control, Embedded Processors, Circuit Analysis and Design, and Electronic System Design.
Designed online teaching materials and adapted course delivery methods for remote teaching during COVID-19, fostered student-teacher interaction.
Led tutorials by explaining key concepts, solving example problems, and clarifying questions from students, enhancing the understanding and engagement of students.
Authored detailed lab manuals to guide students through experimental procedures, provided step-by-step demonstrations, and ensured students accurately followed protocols during laboratory sessions.
Monitored final examinations to ensure academic integrity and graded exam scripts with clear marking criteria.
Coordinated the TA team for the "Microelectronics Systems" course, delegated responsibilities, tracked progress, and communicated regularly with the lecturer to resolve operational issues.
